Hi, I've just tried Skate from http://www.icesoft.no, as an alternative to Netscape which always crashes when it encounters a Java applet. It's basic, but it does the job. It runs Java applets without crashing. It's actually written in Java, but I can't compare it to HotJava cos I've never used it. It doesn't do JavaScript though. But for anyone who desparately needs a browser to display applets they write themselves, this is definitely worth a look.
