Hey Melissa,
Thanks for the post, it's good to see others reviews. Bastille is a
great program and now that it has support for rerunning it and also
rollback prior to changes that bastille made I like it even more. Here is
a e-book that may be of interest to you, since you seem to be using RH6.x
Hi all...
Earlier today I sent out a "call for volunteers" (to grrltalk and
announce, I forgot to include techtalk) asking for people to help with
the LinuxChix website and mailing list maintenance tasks. A fair number
of people have already contacted me about wanting to help. Rather than

Hi all...
You know that mailing list I just mentioned? Well...there appear to be
some configuration problems, and the gentleman who is responsible for
the administration of that has already toddled off to bed.
So, the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list doesn't work yet, but I'll send a
note when it is. So

Hi.
Just goes to show that I really shouldn't try to do administrative stuff
when it's this far past my bedtime. The list works now...error on my
part. There is still one small configuration thing, but it doesn't
currently stop the list from working and we'll sort that bit out
tomorrow.

Hello all,
I thought I'd share a really kewl program with all of you that
I first tried out a few months ago. It's a program called
Bastille Linux (http://bastille-linux.sourceforge.net/) and
helps you to secure your Red Hat 6.0 box. The reason I
am posting this is that if you are setting up y

I'm not very knowledgable about how to research which scanners have
drivers which work well with Linux. I need to order a fairly good scanner
(at least a 600dpi capability, able to handle grayscale & color). I've
poked around on the web a bit but haven't found a scanner yet which boasts

inital setup is really easy, just punch in an ip adress, netmask, and
couple other things on the lcd display on the front of the thing, and the
rest of the administration is done through a web interface. they are

Hi, Roopa,
What version of Caldera OpenLinux Lite are you using? I don't want to point
you to graphical tools that may or may not be there.

Hi!
A friend of mine asked me if I knew of any e-commerce solutions for
Linux. My first thought was mysql and PHP3, my second one was zope, but
those aren't specific for web shops, and he is looking for a solution
that is professionally supported. So, apart from Intershop or PHP3 and
Oracle, do a
If you go into your /etc/passwd file, the end of the line with your
username designates what kind of shell your default is.

OK, it does work under some circumstances..the key deficiency is that
the Nvidia driver does not support OpenGL in a multi-headed configuration
I'm stuck having to use Nvidia ).
I have RedHat 6.2 and two graphics cards ( one AGP and one PCI ) both with
