It is calling it safe to make sure it is unlocked and the messages will be picked up and read by Talks. So having it unlocked is just a good thing to do when you are changing things on the phone to insure that you get all the needed information in order to correctly make any changes to your phon

Dave first make sure that your phone is unlock so that you hear any messages from it. Now plug in the speakers and or head phones. Select the connection type on the phone from the screen that should have came up when you plug in the device. This is for the reason of having the phone unlock to st
