IMHO it is never a well taken decision to tag a path / bridleway for walking or
pedestrians at the same time. Ill shut up when walking a path and Equestrians
have been using the same trail or path, a horseshoe tends to spoil the surface
ruinous. Only a rocky hillside trail could stand

Some time ago, the proposal of tourism=camp_pitch was approved in order
to respect/return to the initial meaning of camp_site=* (the level of
infrastructure of a tourism=camp_site).
This involved a lot of work in reviewing site by site existing objects
to migrate them to the new scheme.
