With the latest rev of the engine, we have the option to switch to UTF8
for the .conf files. We've done this in the latest windows build and so
all that shows up are UTF8 locales-- which I don't think we've shipped
any yet with the windows product, so you only get the default. All of

change the language and only English US was available. How can I try

If clucene is configured for the libs then mkfastmod uses the lucene indexing
mode.
The module has a lucene/ subdir with almost 7 mb of index data. So I think
mkfastmod uses clucene.

I get a read of while just moving the mouse. It does it randomly
and I have not been able to make it happen when I try.

This is using CLucene 0.8.13 without utf8 support enabled. I guess equal times
should be possible with Windows.

JSword is currently using Lucene to index the modules. We are planning
to pre-computed the indexes as well. In the jsword-devel archives you
will find threads on issues related to making the lucene index available
for download. JSword is planning to make downloadable indexes available.
