I had the exact same problem until I disabled the fc18 firewall with the following command: > yum remove firewalld in previous fedora versions (i.e. fc15) the firewall can be defeated via system-config-firewall command, but not in fc18... hope this helps. -Adam --

Hi, I have a virtualized Fedora 18 guest and I have STAF 3.4.12 installed on the guest. I'm able to ping other machines from within the guest but other machines are not able to ping the guest. It has a bridged networking interface - so it's IP is seperate from that of the host. The firewall
