I do this here using fetchmail.
I created public folders on the Exchange system for people to drop Spam, Ham
and False-Positives into.
Create three aliases on your gateway that point to sa-learn, for sendmail
these will work
spamforget: |"/usr/local/bin/sa-learn --no-rebuild --forget"
spaml
I've done it via IMAP on both 5.5 and 2k and had no problems with the
headers getting munged. I just went and checked 'em again by pulling them
via IMAP dumping to a file and looking at 'em and the headers appear to be
fine with no added MS junk. You guys are making me nervous though because

Chris,
I updated my bigevil.cf file this morning and I haven't seen a hit on it
since. Yes, I stopped mimedefang and restarted it after the update. Any
ideas?
Sendmail, mimedefang, spamassassin-2.60 with Bayes on.

On
your Linux box create three mail aliases (In sendmail
syntax)
spamlearn: "|/usr/local/bin/sa-learn
--spam --norebuild"
hamlearn:
"|/usr/local/bin/sa-learn --ham --norebuild"
spamforget: "/usr/local/bin/sa-learn
--forget --norebuild"
Install a copy
The last I heard on this was that the recommendation was to add "; NO UCE"
to the end of your SMTP banner. At one point at least one spamware honored
that.

My personal favorite is to add a "hostname" such as
[EMAIL PROTECTED] then in sendmail just map that host so it
dumps anything to it to my "addtoblacklist" perl script that adds it to my
sendmail "access" database.

I believe most BSD's, Solaris, HP-UX and just a few others all have and
use /etc/mail to localize their mail files. If you delete that then you
break those. Please leave that path alone thank you.

I'm pretty much seeing the same symptoms that Marc described. It does appear
to be when it hits two at the same time that it hangs. I haven't proved that
100% to myself yet.
I'm not a C++ kinda guy but I do know a little. I might be able to help a
little. I was just trying to stick some debug lo

I'm attempting to get spamassassin running on our primary mail server for
our company and am not having much luck.
The system is:
FreeBSD 4.5-STABLE
Sendmail 8.12.2
spamassassin 2.01
spamass-milter 0.1.1
I've installed spamass-milter and have spamd running, things will work
for about 5 to 10
