[sanei_debug] Setting
author fixes the problem, which is a shame since these cards
Buslogic are good multimaster cards.
The author, Leonard N. Zubkoff was contacted the
first of the year about this from me, he said he was going to
look into the problem since at least a few people still use these
cards but so far nothing.
Good luck,

hed the problem exists.
The developer Leonard N. Zubkoff is aware of the
problem but is out of town until the first of the year when he plans
to look into the problem.
At this time your only option is to try a different scsi board, I had
to switch to an adaptec, even though I prefer the buslogic

I am using a later kernel, just to see it that would help,
Linux bugs 2.4.13-0.5 #1 Sat Nov 3 15:08:02 EST 2001 i686 unknown
But no luck,
Thanks for anymore suggestions,

I have the same scanner and am having a somewhat similar problem,
however a suggestion to try is to change the hp.conf above to
just these lines:
/dev/scanner
option disable-scsi-request
Then ensure that /dev/s
iate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).
So if I try using xsane I get the same thing no scanner. With past
versions the scsi was always the easiest one to use. I suspect a
problem with the scsi driver [Buslogic] with this kernel right
-scsi" but it still seems to occur and the
scanner is not recoginized.

I have read the FAQ's and most of the doc's I can find but this
refuses to work for me.
Any suggestions much appreciated,
