1.0.18-6 will & I have a non-working with libusb 2:0.1.12-7

I've tried changing every setting I could find to decrease the "pink"
colour. A white scan is almost pink all the way across--darker at the
edges & lighter in the centre--is there a way to decrease the lamp
output or is there another setting I should attend to?
Thank you--I've installed the driver--scans look to be on the pink
side--will work with setting & report back--THANKS!!
I'm still getting a black scan from the 4370--is there a more current
driver?
Can you post the output of 'sudo lsusb -vv'?

I recently sent a E-mail to HP's president Mark Hurd talking about the
poor state of Linux support with HP products. I did not expect an answer
to my mail & was very surprised to get several e-mails & 3 phone calls
in return. It seems that HP is getting sensitive in regards to Linux
support & i

Just bought a HP Scanjet 4370 (didn't check to see support :-( ).
Running the current Sane front & backends--Have installed hp3900-sane
from Sourceforge. Problem is that the only scan I get is totally
black--I've worked with all the options. I get a note as I close Xsane
