Hello,
I looked at the sane supported lists and noticed my Visioneer PaperPort
3100b that connects parallel is not mentioned.
Is there a 'sane-find-scanner' command that can detect parport scanners?
Can somebody please show me how to write the command line using 'cat'
for a parport? Is it 'cat
Hi people. Thanks sane for this area. Please, forgive my
english.
Problem is that my acer 3300u scanner, is not working in lineart
mode. Images are good for grayscale and color. By "not working"
I mean that, when using Xsane, the resulting image is a black

Something should be done for CCD scanners wrt mustek_pp. I thought
about adding back the backend from 1.0.9 as mustek_pp_ccd but didn't

Hi,
It's quite a long time since the last release of sane-backends so I
think we should plan for version 1.0.13.
Our template at doc/releases.txt mentions the following time table:
Day 0: Announcement of upcoming release on sane-devel including timetable

This scanner is supported by an external backend. This means, that the
backend (driver) is not included in the SANE distributi
Hi,
I've changed the following description files to the new format because
there has been no activity from the respective backend maintainers
(and the those maintainers don't have an account for the new CVS
server yet anyway):
umax1220u.desc
microtek2.desc
hpsj5s.desc
fujitsu.desc
canon630u.desc

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean exactly. The command

i have done the first steps of modifying scanadf so that it uses the
stiff.h library and can output tiff files as well as pnm. the problem is
that stiff.h would need to be copied from sane-backends/frontends to
sane-frontends where scanadf lives.
the other option is to move scanadf into sane-ba
Does anyone know if the original Agfa SnapScan (without a trailing
designation) is supported? I see good support for SnapScan xxx, but the
plain SnapScan is not mentioned as either supported or unsupported.
