entries.
By the way: We have 9 (nine) new backends and 17 (seventeen) updated
backends. Both numbers are higher than ever before for a SANE release.

Well, I've now installed gphoto2, during configuration it's
found (checking for gphoto2-config... gphoto2-config ), but
sane-backends-1.0.7-cvs-2002-04-23.tar.gz gives me the message:

Sorry, never heard of it before. But, that explains why gphoto2-config
isn't with sane-backends-1.0.7.

Hi,
The problem I had with jpeg in sane-backends-1.0.7 was
caused by tru64's shared jpeglib, which is version 5. Renaming
the shared lib enabled the configure script to find version 6b
of libjpeg.a
