Hi Major,

        Well, I've now installed gphoto2, during configuration it's
found (checking for gphoto2-config... gphoto2-config ), but 
sane-backends-1.0.7-cvs-2002-04-23.tar.gz gives me the message:
Sorry, can't use GPHOTO2
GPHOTO2 APIs have been changing rapidly. Only
the current version from CVS is likely to work.

Do I need ieee1284.h or something else.

I also get:
disabling GPHOTO2 backend (not requested, or failed to find gphoto2-config or 
JPEG lib)
