Can any one post a high res version of the blue Sage logo used on the front page and here in the google forums? There is a dedicated logo section on the wiki. I would like to use it as the logo for a sage.app produced with the SageMacApplication guide. Thanks /David --~--~-~--~~

Hi I've made an interact on elliptic curve point addition, see below. When I run it in notebook() mode I get an error: Traceback (click to the left for traceback) ... AttributeError: 'SymbolicEquation' object has no attribute '_fast_float_' It worked in sage 3.1.1. I can't figure out how to fix

[sage-support] Which Dlog algorithms do SAGE have implemented?

2008-10-02 Thread David Møller Hansen
I want to know how SAGE finds the discrete logarithm problem in finite fields and in EC groups. Is it in the same way? (and then which algorithm is implemented?) Or do SAGE apply faster methods in finite fields? The rationale for asking is that I would hope SAGE used a faster method when in a fin

Thank you David. This seems to work just fine, though a bit of a roundabout - I agree. I do not understand why sage doesn't have a command just letting you expand a Galois field with a arbitrary expansion degree, in my case 4. /David --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ To post
