how to handle the situation. However, as Gerald Smith so excellently
points out, in each neighborhood of any negative rational value of n,

Guys, please keep in mind that exponentials of negative bases are not really
functions. They give a mix of real and multivalued complex results. You cannot
treat x^(1/3) as a synonym for cuberoot (x) if x,0. The latter is a well
defined function and the former is not. Perhaps this might be a

Ah! Linear Algebra! This creates an itch I have to scratch, especially if you
intend to emphasize its computer applications.
I firmly hold that modern approaches to teaching Linear Algebra are deeply
crippled by failing to go far enough in their concepts. I am a huge fan of the

actually try it out! But it is noteworthy that students have no trouble
motivating themselves to take an interest in computer games and internet media

You can use a MOODLE account to do anything from amanaging a couple of classes

Hi!
I haven't yet heard back from the resellers, but it shouldn't take too
long, according to a notification I received. MOODLE is now a standard
feature on most of the sites offering free/low cost web hosting, though
the resources available vary quite a bit. I had no trouble setting up a

I am going to contact a resellers group about how much it owuld take at minimum
in monthly fees to set up a SAGE server on a hosted site. If it can be done
reasonably cheaply, maybe you could set up multiple sites.
