Dear all,
Testers needed! I think I finally solved all my asynchronicity problems with
Jmol and the notebook. I have now opened a ticket in trac (ticket #9238) with
the new javascript libraries attached (Hope that was the right thing to do:).
Please try it out and let me know of problems. I
Dear Sage user and developers,
First I apologize if you see multiples of this message, but I wanted to reach
as much of the community as possible so posted to sage-devel, -edu and
-notebook. If there is anywhere else this should be cross listed please let me
know.
I'm looking for input on wha
I just downloaded 4.6.1 and tried to install the
Jmol_for_SageNoteBook.spkg which I've been working on. The .spkg

install, but the notebook appears to be ignoring these changes.

Thought I would pass this warning on to people. The Jmol community
has found that the old version of Jmol normally packaged with SAGE is
unlikely to work in most webkit browsers (especially on MacOS) very

fix. It requires
Dear Sage developers:
I just stumbled upon a site that should probably have links to Sage.
http://eqworld.ipmnet.ru/index.htm
This is a site that has collected information about solutions to known
equations and has a list of software including Maple, Mathematica, Matlab, R,
Maxima and so on...
Reviewers,
The .spkg to include the new Jmol and new controls for Jmol in the Flask
notebook has been updated to include the command line launch script. This
ticket needs to be reviewed.

The static image is generated server side, using Jmol if a JVM is installed on
the server or Tachyon if the JVM is unavailable. The Jmol image is more
complete, so we should recommend that a JVM be installed on the server, but it
is not necessary.

You can create an account and try it. Please note this is running on a virtual

Unfortunately, I have not got time to dig through the code and
understand what needs to be done to pass data properly to jupyter hub.
It appears that paths need to be specified using a particular utility
function. That part may be easy, but it is not clear to me where
everything needs to be adj
