AFAIK that shouldn't cause problems, however you should save a bit of time
because of some already compiled files.

If you Google my name in the Italian version of Google, you will surely
find some news about a guy with my name who has been murdered in 2007.

No, PPAs contain binaries and also the corresponding sources, you have to
successfully build a package in order to upload it to the PPA for other
people to download it.
