Can't it be an issue for Sage in the opposite direction?

But my humble question is: why should Sage risk to donate the hard work to
companies such Apple (only an example) which use open source to make money
without giving back? For what I saw on the website (as a complete novice
who I am) I understood that Sage was born to be and remain free as in
freedom.
