Surface water levels can fluctuate and get dirty. Divert (pipe?) the creek water to a vessel (tank, trough,??), filter if necessary and pump from that.  Using a creek as a reliable source for pumped water takes some careful thought and design. Your customers may have the experience. Might be a goo

Michael,I put one in my creek every Spring and take it out when the water gets very low. The only trick is to orient the pump either vertically or horizontally. Grundfos cautions against pumping with the pump at an angle. Since my pump lies horizontally at the bottom of a pool, I also use a sleeve
