If I have a single XWpro with 600v controller and all i want to do is some
programing can I use the SCP?
I just remember there were things the SCP can’t so with the PRO, but I think
its in the stacking part a
Is this a new (not installed) or existing XW pro?

As long as you use the default grid config this is fine and as long as
you do not need the advanced modes for LFP. If you need to change to
IEEE , (offgrid) you need the gateway.

Not my design. A roughly 4 yr old system. It’s connected to the grid for battery charging as needed. No sell back. Of course who ever installed it neglected to tell them to add water to the batteries. Or that 8 of the batteries you couldn’t actually add water to due to the 3” of access above them.
