Hello Wrenches,
We have a situation on a repair job (that I didn't install), where the
charge controllers are not showing up on the SCP. There are 3 charge
controllers, two 600 V and one 150 volt units. There is a ComBox and

Hello Drake.
In the Xanbus network, you have devices with power such as inverters, and other
devices without power.
You can not connect an SCP directly to an MPPT60, because both SCP and MPPT60
have no power, but if you have an inverter in the network, it should give
sufficient power for the dev
The Combox can be directly connected via Ethernet, but it takes a bit of IT
know-how.
It is easier to take a cheap router with you and connect the Combox and laptop
to the router, and let it assign IP addresses.

I will need system specific information to make any comments on your reported
communications issues.
As far as the recommendations for 6 foot CAT5, that was done 5 to 7 years ago
for a specific application, and it is still valid when working with large
systems, where you are pushing t
And make sure that both ends of the Xanbus network are properly terminated.
