The Combox can be directly connected via Ethernet, but it takes a bit of IT know-how.
It is easier to take a cheap router with you and connect the Combox and laptop to the router, and let it assign IP addresses. I too am fighting a new install where the single MPPT 80-600 is partially visible via combox and internet. Support says to be sure to update all equipment to the latest version of firmware and double check all the Xanbus cables and terminators. This system is doing some magic battery charging – no voltage or production reported by the charge controller, but Insight and Combox show something putting Watts back into the batteries! Good luck!! -Glenn From: RE-wrenches <re-wrenches-boun...@lists.re-wrenches.org> On Behalf Of drake.chamber...@redwoodalliance.org Sent: Friday, February 01, 2019 11:28 AM To: RE-wrenches <re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org> Subject: [RE-wrenches] No Communication to XW CC Hello Wrenches, We have a situation on a repair job (that I didn't install), where the charge controllers are not showing up on the SCP. There are 3 charge controllers, two 600 V and one 150 volt units. There is a ComBox and and SCP. One Schneider tech recommended that I unplug the SCP and plug a laptop directly into the ComBox..The manual shows a router being used. Can a laptop be plugged directly in to a ComBox? Will this be helpful in finding the missing CCs? Even with new Ethernet cables, the CCs don't show up. Thanks, Drake
