On pro-solar ground mounts, up in the mountains, we do not use the pinch
screw on a Hollender pipe tee. We use pinch screw as a pilot for a bolt.
That makes the Engineer happy and he signs it off.

I do not see the need for high voltage battery systems offgrid. Neither
does Schneider, Outback or Magnum. I was involved with electronic field

Reasons for HV batteries off grid?
1) Smaller cable size (I just did an 18 Kw off grid with 4 SIs and the cable
costs alone were in the order of $400) and increased flexibility locating
batteries and inverter. 10 AWG plug and play.
2) Higher efficiencies. Easy integration

A more recent spec sheet shows the MPPT window starting at 200v instead of
250v, which is a significant improvement.

Outback said at SPI today they have shipped more than a dozen. The
Schneider mppt-80-600 starts at 180vdc BTW.
