Looking at the pictures again, I wonder if there might be a pinhole in the back
lamination that is allowing water into the module.

Jon,
Do you recall which PV connectors were on the modules and what they used for
extension cables?
Around that time, Amphenol H4 connectors had issues due to the plastic housings
failing and allowing water into the connections.

SnapFan was sold a year or so ago, the new owners I think are based in AZ

White PV wire was something we used to sell often, but that demand has dropped
off in the last 5 years or so and always wondered why.

It was explained to me, the compounds Amphenol used in this large batch of
connector housings were bad/incorrect.
We started seeing failures on these modules as quickly as 6 months of being in
service.

When our area experienced a lot of ash from nearby forest fires, I ended up
purchasing a telescopic brush that big rig truckers use to wash their trucks
and had great success. If I recall it was around $80 and it extended 20ft and
came with a few different attachments.

In my experience, if the Trina modules have the TS4 connectors on them and are
mated to an MC4 connector they tend to have issues.

Surprised to read no one mentioning the Wiley Pass Thru boxes.
That is what I used on my house, though I had a cranky inspector and wanted to
avoid any conflicts.
Yes, they are expensive, but they are UL and easy.
