Volatile memory was a pet peeve of mine with the Trace SW inverters. I
quit even trying to program them, because they would always end up
getting reset anyway. However, I've tested this feature on the Midnite
Classics and I could not get them to drop programming. I used the
computer app, set
All CC's have their problems and MidNite has had their share, but losing
or forgetting their programming has not
been one of them that I'm aware of.
If it is a standard Classic with MNGP display, don't forget to press
ENTER after setting parameters so that
the Classic remembers those setting
Has anyone had an issue with Midnite solar Charge controllers loosing
programming. I have had Out back FM 80 do this and it was an software issue
they fixed it. Now I have the same thing with midnite either that or the
customer is messing with it and this is also a good possibility but before

Wow, so would you need a small expansion tank to dampen that out? IS
that even allowed on LPG? What was the cure?

Dear
Esteemed Colleagues,
The purpose of this email is to start sharing solutions to the roof top access

Thanks for the feedback. Turned out to be 3 separate issues. The AC backfeed
turned out to be mostly caused by a missing neutral to ground bond. With that
corrected, the backfeed dropped from 30 volts to 2 volts on one leg only...

Alot of these generator setups need 2 regulators, so usually the regular

Ditto Tom, seen this too often in Mexico. I carry a manometer to make check the
pressure at the LP input to the generator with the engine running. Make sure it
is at/above 11" WC when it starts to act up. If the regulator is at the tank,
long vapor runs can cause too much pressure loss.

If you disconnect the leads to the Benny from at the inverter do you still
have this condition. I had a battery charged supply (ac) in the same
conduit as the remote start and the transient voltage would be enough to
signal z start up. Your issue is a little different but it might still be

Hi John,
If this is the LPG unit, I have had really long cold days here in Truckee,
diagnosing erratic engine behavior, trying all sorts of motor diagnostics, as
we could get her running when we arrived after the sub zero nights, waiting a
bit for the sun to warm up enough to hold a wrench with
If you are using Sketchup for solar, you should be using the Skelion
plugin. It will compute and draw the solar modules on any surface based on
your preferred module, tilt angle and azimuth. We do all our quotes this
way.

John, How many hours on this unit? There have been issues w/ intake air
freezing the TPS throttle positioning sensor. Has to do w/ poor crankcase
ventilation, is the gen located inside or out? The nylon throttle bushings also
wear out and cause all kinds of problems. It would seem to me that ha
