Hi Drake,
SMA has very good solutions for this. Does this out of the box without a bunch
of custom control systems. I have put a few systems in like this, but the
renewables not yet online (generator / battery now). If you google Isle of Eig
you will find some info on what they have done there

Easy peasy.
The Outback provides 12V to power a relay for the AGS. Change the relay to

Have you considered installing a flashing like the EcoFasten GF-1, lagging
the L-foot to the rafter, and then spanning the L-feet with some AL angle?
We use flashings similarly for supporting conduit on roofs, which works very
well.

Hello,
I'm looking to source insulated cabinets, relatively large to house -3- Fronius
5 Kw inverters. They only have a low operating temp spec of -4F. I plan to
supply min heat using a small resistive element. Long story, but inverters have
to be mounted at the array and I must use Fronius. Thi
I've got a customer that has outside lights that are only on when the
generator runs. Also has a siren/strobe light alarm that comes on when
the batteries are below the 2-minute threshold for the generator start.

Hey Folks.I was hoping someone might be able to help with a
recommendation for a sound alarm for when a generator starts and stops in
an outback controlled auto gen start systemcustomers generator is in a
remote building and they cant always hear when it starts or stops.
Thank you!
Kirp
Yeah, normally it would have been our practice to use a j-box and bring
down three strings. In this case it made more sense to combine strings on
the roof and just bring down a single circuit in a single conduit. Long
story... long wire run... probably bad planning in hindsight.
The MNPV6-AC is a
composite shingles so for this project the S-5 solutions will not work.

Allen,
What is the roofing material?
S-5 has a product that works well with standing-seam.

Jason,
It seems to me that two of the exceptions in 240.24 may apply to your
situation. Most significantly (4) For overcurrent devices adjacent to
utilization equipment that they supply, access shall be permitted to be
by portable means. Thus using a latter to access the ac combiner on the

I can't find the MNPV-AC in midnites price list, is this something custom or

Oh, yes - that is a great application for the MNPV-AC. I didn't mean to
imply there isn't a good use for them. In this particular instance the
three MVPV-AC's are really subcombiners that get all get tied together in
another subpanel at ground level. They really were not necessary, but made

A potential customer is interested in a mini grid, set up by a
generator, to connect his array to.
Some years back, on this list, an article was linked about a
