I don't think this topic has been dealt with in this forum. Ocassionally we
want to use a single inverter with two or more strings, each string being
loaded by a single sub-array. A sub-array being defined as having a single
uniform tilt angle and azimuth. All modules are identical. And each

Hi Kirk,
On all of my seaside installs I make sure to use stailnless hardware, annodized
aluminum (most racking is, but not all), dielectric grease on all comm
connections (and reapplied every few years), anti corrosion (nickle grease) on
all copper to alum connections and most importantly...r
I tend to think there is a bit more money north of the SF bridge..

Yep, I agree. FYI, Proven has finally given up trying to sell us on the
idea of roof-mounted turbines - at least when it comes to me. ;-) The
people in SF are full of crap, of course, but I was being nice in my
comments to the general group. N
Hi Kirk,
About 75% of our installations need to consider the effects of salt
air. We install along the coast of Maine and in the Bahamas, so there
are additional issues of temperature extremes which can compound
problems in a not-so-well thought out system. From using silicone
grease for termina
Hello,
Can anyone briefly describe the potential issues of pv installations in a
ocean side environment - ie the effects of salt air, ect? Corrosion issues,
and how pvs will weather such conditions? Precautions to take, ect? Thanks.

I've done a couple of these 3 stacks. Operation of all functions seems quite
good once things are set up properly. Setup & configuration is possible with
only the System Control Panel...but it's easier with a computer provided that
you have the XW Configuration software/hardware bundle.

Hey Matt. There is much interest in the "urban turbine" these days, in part
because it has a catchy ring to it. Proven has installed many urban
turbines in the UK, all on low towers or roof mounted and all have reported
poor production by comparison to the traditional tower top installation in
