I've done a couple of these 3 stacks. Operation of all functions seems quite good once things are set up properly. Setup & configuration is possible with only the System Control Panel...but it's easier with a computer provided that you have the XW Configuration software/hardware bundle.
This same Configuration tool (also called "the dongle" by the Xantrex technicians) is also needed if you want to upgrade the firmware. The software/hardware bundle is slightly counterintuitive...as with all computer products, right? One must install drivers and otherwise make like a power user. Wait times when calling Xantrex tech support are notoriously lengthy. Note to Xantrex: please change the music on hold so that it plays more than one tune.
