lots of bottle mounts and cable guides so getting the tape around those was

time for quick trips into a store. Anything over a couple minutes and I’ll

Nice! I have a cable actuated BB7 on mine connected to a thumb shifter lever.
It works pretty well but the thumb shifter I used isn’t the best. I think the
ratchets they put in it are coarse enough that is doesn’t always hold as tight
as we want. A hydro with a real brake lever would work better

I agree with that! I did have a Karate Monkey with 29 x 2.1” tires that I
really didn’t like. Not enough float on sand and fairly harsh on the super hard
dried clay we have on a lot of our trails here.

I use the GP-1 and GP-2 grips on a number of bikes and they work great for me.
I used to experience hand numbness at times but haven’t experienced it while
using the Ergons. I’ve used them on straight bars as well as Jones Loop bars
which have lots of sweep.

That should be all you need. I have read accounts of Gorilla tape absorbing
sealant and losing its adhesive properties so I never tried it. I just set up
some fat bike tires with Muc-Off tubeless tape but haven’t converted to
tubeless yet. I’m letting tubes seat the tape to the rim currently.
I’ve always liked green on Rivs. I almost went with British racing green on
mine but decided to go with their pea sage green. I still like it. I remember
opening the box and being a bit underwhelmed with the color but once it was
built up with silver parts and a honey Brooks the color looked muc
I picked up some 3M tape from EBay to put on the wear areas of my bikepacking
bike. I haven’t used it yet as the bike is just starting to get built but the
tape looks nice. It applies just like some screen protectors for phones. It
goes on wet and then dries in place.
