Do you have a bungee net? I’d think the wheel would sit on a padded rack vertically with a bungee net over it. Seems like tension would be equal on both sides so it wouldn’t topple one way or the other. Probably need a decent sized net though…
A backpack that has daisy chains on it would make it simple to attach the wheel to the backpack with straps of some sort.
