I drink Grant-flavored Kool Aid. I want an all-rounder on which to
commute, run errands, go camping, tag along with casual road rides, do

Someone just went through something like this either here or on the RBW list. I
think that one turned out to be spoke nipple or the crossover point of two
spokes rubbing.
Check your spoke tension, try a drop of lube on each spoke nipple and see if
you still have the chirp.

Your crank will be the deciding factor in BB spindle length. There's nothing
weird about Bike Fridays in that reguard so you can just follow whatever the
