To offer a comparison, I ordered some service parts from Paul Components, shipping from the same region as Riv, and it's a 3 day transit time to PA via USPS first class, less than $5. The Nitto struts and hardware I ordered from Riv will take 8 days via UPS, $9. I probably could have done more

People keep mentioning the cost as though that's the main issue. It's not, it's really the choice of shipper. I like what Grant said and generally agree with where he is coming from, but it's unfortunate to only side with UPS as they tend to be against the sort of employee treatment that he men

The chainstays aren't the defining characteristic of Jones geometry! On the LWB with truss fork the HTA is 67.5 and the fork has 76mm offset. Looks like short wheel base HTA is 69 and unicrown fork offers 55mm offset. So you're still getting a long wheelbase that offers stability but more from

As a big fan of vintage mountain bikes, I mostly like the bullmoose for aesthetic purposes. I find that the need for multiple hand positions is more a symptom of a bike that doesn't fit me well, so I have never had a problem with them. Nice and wide, can't beat those fillet joints. Had them on
