Yes. Tubing diameter and thickness generally dictates seat post size. In that sense, the sizing is part of its functionality. A 26.8 seat post size is not exactly unusual, and before 27.2 became dominant, was fairly common. I have several bikes, other than my recent Rivs, that use this size. I
