Well, sometimes the 2 year olds just don't cooperate with Dad's bike ride
plans. Got everything ready to go and then there was a meltdown.

I have a rivet independence and I like it a lot. It works better for me
than Brooks and Berthoud. Debra is also great to deal with. I do think the

The Shimano 443 is a nice front der that is available in 28.6. All silver.
Shifts well on a Riv-type triple.
It is a non-group piece so it falls thru the cracks. Mike at Black Mountain
Cycles usually has them.
The CX-70 is decent looking if you are using a double.

jacket. This is good down to temps of about zero Fahrenheit on my five mile
commute. On my head I can't say enough good things about my Walz wool cap

I always found the Turbo to be heavenly for about 5 miles, and then
the curved shape would start causing unbearable pressure / rubbing
(probably the padding was a co-conspirator). I've had good experiences
with B17s but generally do better with flatter saddles (Flites,
Toupes, etc.)

Re: fixed gear on a single speed hub - I would recommend using the
Rotafixa method (http://204.73.203.34/fisso/eng/schpignone.htm) to
tighten the cog down with before threading on the bottom bracket
lockring. It's an incredibly effective method of tightening - but make
sure you have a rag betwixt t

a PBH of 80cm. My 54cm Quickbeam and 55cm AHH both fit great

In my many years of dealing with sealed bearing hubs, I have never
seen anyone at a shop use a specialized tool to remove or install
bearings. Generally they get knocked out with a metal punch of some
sort and are pushed in with a socket wrench bit and rubber mallet. It
only really gets complicated
