They are a lot easier to set up -- it's a lot easier to tighten the cable
with the fixed bolt. They're wider than most carriers, which translates
into a bit more leverage (or mechanical advantage) , which "might" be good
with certain aero brake levers (making sure you have enough lever pull),

I really apologize for having this bump up over and over. This shall be the

Yes, a bit easier to set up because you tighten the cable with an allen
wrench, a little easier to snug up the cable initially. I like the curve
action on the straddle cable, it does not bind on the cable groove like
what happens, sometimes, with the traditional Dia Compe straddle hanger.
Plus,
I really like the bits of useful information that I learn on this list. I

with no room between the seat post binder ears for your typical suspended

Does the curve in the Moon Unit offer a more graceful curve to the straddle
cable? If so, is there a little bit less slack in the system and a
slightly better feel at the lever? For $40-60, I decided not to find out!
Maybe someday I'll try it.

Well written, Caroline! While my Rivs rarely see any city, you must be
correct that any Riv is just as at home on city streets as on mountain
trails. Now, I do think it would be wonderful to see a photo of your Riv
