in the same position.
Can't say I miss it.
Just put a new pair of Grip Kings on the Sam. Can't wait to try them
out tomorrow.

Ah... that is sweet. I'm handy with tools - and I used to maintain my own
cheap road bike when I was a kid - but it's been a long time, and I'm not
particularly up on bicycle mechanics. How difficult would it be to assemble
the bike by myself, or conversely, to alter the used Sam that I started
Is the 56cm size correct - I didn't realize 56cm came with a double top

It's not hard to build up a bike with the fork attached. Derailleurs (if
you're into such things) are the biggest hassle. Brakes, if they're cantis.
The issue will be making sure the pieces (stem to bars, bars to fork,

mixed surface rides that it encourages. I have put SKS longboard fenders on
it this year that I may pull off so I can fit larger cross tires, such as

Following the discussion here last week I packed my new Lamdas with
grease before installing them this weekend.
It wasn't too hard once I picked all the bearings off the floor. They
ride great - makes me want to do my bottom bracket next.
