After my summer's three week stint in Eastern Washington I returned to Northern
California.
As I wrote earlier, goatheads are always a problem in the dry climate of
Eastern Washington.
They seem to come in various vintages and like wine get better (worser) with
age, lurking in
nooks and cranni
I think this is a great idea, though I imagine ordering a dozen or so designs
might be a duanting prospect for Riv.
I think a design for each model with the headbadge on the front (maybe the left
breast pocket location) and a drawing of the bike on the back would be

The Suntour Sprint, which the Silvers copied, came in the box with two
different thicknesses of flat washer that slides onto the boss right BEFORE
you slip the shifter onto the boss. There's a 'standard' thickness one, and
an extra one that is slightly thicker. Some bosses are a hair longer, s
'Cogito ergo' kind of bugged me, but 'raising hbars and a ruckus...' more
than made up for it. My favorite shirt by a longshot. Pygmy mammoth makes

Fish Rock is definitely on my "to do" list for rides in that area. A very
challenging ride would start in Boonville and head to the coast on Fish Rock,
returning by heading north on Hwy 1 to Hwy 128.
There are also some interesting roads from Ukiah to Fort Bragg. I've ridden
partway on both--
I didn't do much. Dave Adams allowed me to publish his spreadsheet
because I'd extended (with permission) the Berto graph from Bicycle
Quarterly and put it on a blog.

bar ends and down tube mounts. I finally replaced my modernish DuraAce
front (7800) road triple derailleur with an older XT circa 1989ish. Fixed
the slipping problem, and the shifter is smooth and light. Big difference.
