design and function. Hampsten, for example, builds some bikes that incorporate
a lot of the design elements espoused by Rivendell, but they do so with Ti or
carbon or fillet-brazed steel.

hillborne, a rom, etc. sweet bikes, perfectly suited for a beautiful

But I must tell you I had a very disappointing experience of the ESGE-
Pletscher double stand. Mounted a new one to my converted MTB-tourer
made from Tange Prestige, not the ul-light version, for a six month
tour from Singapore

I've had one for about 8 months now and have had no mechanical
problems with it, but about 1 or 2 times a ride I kind of go into a
"HUH" moment. I know you have to go "backwards" but the mind has 30+
years of doing it the old way. It's especially bad when I've got to
think quickly...i.e. bombin
