Ten brave souls faced mid-70s temperatures with a mild ocean breeze
and rode 47+ miles of city/path terrain, with once fun slice of urban
single track thrown in. San Diego was designed as a "city of
villages," and we visited a few neighborhoods: Downtown, Little Italy,
Ocean Beach, and Pt. Loma before venturing to the municipalities of
National City, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, and Coronado, visiting
Silver Strand State Beach and the Cabrillo National Monument in the
process. Here's the bikely, as posted earlier:

EricP gets special kudos for coming the farthest from the ride, and
doing the whole shebang on a Brompton 3 speed! We also had our second
bike shop owner on a ride (#1 was Jim Thill), Sky from Velo Cult.
Riders from Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Coronado, and
Redlands, and St. Paul, MN.

Bikes included: 2 Orange Quickbeams, 1 Rivendell Redwood, 1 Rivendell
Road, 1 Kirk custom, 1 vintage Peugeot, 1 vintage Trek, 1 vintage
Raleigh, 1 Brompton folder -- and Noel showed us all up by riding his
own creation, a beautiful Cycles Noel rando bike.

We're talking Los Angeles for September...maybe the dirt path off
Mulholland Drive.
