This weekend I changed to Albatross handlebars on my All-Rounder. If
anyone has any suggestions/hints/advice I would welcome the input.
Many thanks to Keven & Grant at RBW for the quick answers to my e-mail
questions.

Again, it has been almost 10 years, and I am a very happy Riv customer of
long standing, not to mention, probably, providing great annoyance to them.
I'd rather bug Nitto.

King would still be whole. And it's the *second* one.

10 years would be a pretty long warranty for a $50.00 product. Nitto
being Japanese may just feel it right to stand by the product.
I am not engineer, but to my eyes the King design while perhaps less
elegant is more robust.

I angle mine down a little bit for longer trips. Maybe it is just me,
but it seems you get a bit more grip variety that way. Around town I
leave them straight back for most upright position to get maximum
sight lines in traffic ridings.

looks like you have the tallest/longest technomic (non -dlx) stem on there.

I must disagree with the characterizations of King as #2. I have the King, and
it is by far my favorite cage on all levels: aesthetic, confidence-inspiring,
the way it grips the bottle, the reasonable price.

I've ordered, but not yet received 2 cages from V-O for the now finished Riv
build.

I have a pair of Kings on a Rambouillet and they have been excellent. Will
report on how the V-O compares after getting them

I went with the VO cages as well last fall and couldn't be happier
with them, I think they are a great value.

I have a pair each of the King Iris and the VO Moderniste. The King
is a nice but fairly conventional looking cage, nothing special. The
VO is bright and shiny and has a distinctive and attractive swoop to
it. The King *might* hold a bit more securely on a really rough road,
but the VO takes th
I wrapped the area forward of the brake levers on mine. That's a nice

Looks great! A question, why do you say, "it's a 650B conversion,
which explains the paucity of seatpost showing out of the frame"?
Seat height shouldn't really be affected by wheel size, no?

Not to disparage V-O, but an Andrews King cage is that same price or within
a buck or so and made in Durango by a dude who used to build Fat City bikes
(I think it was Fat anyway). I also think the King Iris was the first
(modern anyway) cage of that design...

Again, could be wrong but the King Iris is the fist cage I recall seeing of
that alternative design: http://www.kingcage.com/Iris.html. Andrews has
modified the design slightly, web page is out of date. Ron welds these up
himself, it is amazing that he can sell them for the same price as ones ma

Rather plain looking (compared to the VO, IMO), and dull finished.
