Glad the 107 worked. If you want lower Q than that then you are looking at a
different crankset and BB. Might as well just enjoy the bike for a while.

UPdate: I put a 107mm bb on the Sam H. with the Sugino triple (thanks to
Dan M. for sending me a barely used 107mm tange for just the cost of
shipping - the guy's a saint, I tell you). It fits just fine. Still lots
of clearance between the crank arms and chain stays and looks like at least
5 mm
I use the 107mm also with the Sugino xd triple on my Hillborne.

Sounds like I will have to give the 107 a try. The symmetry will be an
added bonus, even though I wouldn't be surprised if one of my legs is 3 mm
shorter than the other anyway. Asymmetrical stays = tentacular.
Asymmetrical legs = also tentacular? Hmmm...

My Bombadil had a 107 with a Sugino triple - it cleared the stays. With Shimano
BBs I believe the difference between a 107 and a 110 is on the non-drive side.
Not sure if that holds true for Tange as well.
When I rebuilt the bike I swapped in a new Shimano Mtn triple front derailleur

The LBS who built mine insisted on 113 (Shimano) as specified by Sugino for
the XD600 triple I used. Chain line and Q work fine for me. I'm pretty sure
110 would be fine too.

Thanks. I knew it was in there somewhere. I guess I will start with the 110
that I have on hand. Should be fine.

You should be good baring any issues with the front der. 107 or 110 work
great. I did run into an issue with my Bomba but that was due to a modern
Shimano front der not being able to adjust inward enough. So a 113 was
necessary.
