Hey, glad you like it.
I've been told the last two pictures I posted couldn't be seen so I'm going to
try again, this time with my Google Drive account as the source. As I mentioned
the first one is from 10 years ago with the handlebars pretty much level with
the saddle. The latest one is curre

Check the front wheel hub for play and check for wheel hop (out of round).

I have a custom Riv bought six months before the Ram was announced, geometry
fairly identical, e.g. 80 mm bb drop. I have converted it to 650B (PariMoto 38

The same with the Heron Touring on tour, even on trails (not t
WOW! No one would know it's been restored.Looks brand new.
Makes me want to start checking those used bike ads.

Patrick,
Thanks! Just to clarify- it is a Romulus not a rodeo.
Cost is something I try not to dwell on; my wife tells me it's cheaper than
golf, but I am not so sure! I bought the frameset for $400 and the
powdercoating cost me $250. Most of the components were bought from Riv, my

2. That you describe the difference in the Roadeo's handling with 650B and
with 700C wheels?

Perhaps the OP could share what things he most liked about his Rom? Then
maybe our responses could be more focused.

I meant in terms of being clones of the Ram, which seems to have differing
reports of tire clearance.

The San Marcos would compare in temperament, but at that size it's 650b.
Which can be a good thing, but may not be what you want.
I bought a 51 cm San Marcos for my girlfriend, and she loves it. It's a
lighter steel bike, but still totally capable of touring (for a light
rider).

One of the older Readers (low 20's possibly) first mentions plans to offer the frame that ended up becoming the Rambouillet. But in this reader, when the idea was first introduced, the name "Rambouillet" is not yet revealed. Grant says in that Reader that the name will probably be "Romulus." He a

Thanks for the help with geometries and suggesting the Legolas! It was fun

The person offering the $500 Romulus responded yesterday and offered some

to do it yesterday - I was called in to work. When I contacted that person

I have been BANNED from the bicycle lifestyle list for suggesting what I

I have written to the person offering the Romulus. I work in Maple Grove
and will try to check it out further if I get a response from that person.
I have checked on both of my Romulus bikes and they are both where they
should be. I will report further if I get a response.
