I switched out the silver side pulls for the Dia Comp 750-thank you Peter- and mounted the VO Zeppelins and a Tubus rack. I'm pleased. Thanks everyone for the suggestions and support. David

As I see the specifications the XD2 is 24-36-46 and the XD600 is 26-36-46. Being as I'm running a 11-32 cassette and don't live even near any mountains, I think I should be okay. On Mar 10, 2013, at 7:33 AM, NWAJack wrote: > On Thursday, March 7, 2013 1:01:42 PM UTC-6, Davidbea wrote: >> Just

Just one example of a 56cm AHH with Hetres (mine) works great... http://www.flickr.com/photos/28889177@N06/8438964731/in/photostream And an example of one with Hetres and fenders (not mine) who also commented that clearance might be not ideal... http://www.flickr.com/photos/kaptainamerika/41538

Rivendell's geometri chart says maximum tire 650x41 but you found you could fit the 42mm Hetres okay? With possible room for fenders of some sort? David On Mar 9, 2013, at 9:47 AM, Pondero wrote: > David, I had some VO Zepplin fenders and Hetres on my 56cm AHH for a short > time. The clearanc

David, I had some VO Zepplin fenders and Hetres on my 56cm AHH for a short time. The clearance was too tight for my taste, and I removed the fenders. I enjoy the tires so much and my need for fenders is rather limited. I think others have found a way to make fenders work to their satisfaction

Thanks. I'll look into Knogs. I'm also looking to on fenders and on three of my 'almost' Rivendells I have and am pleased with the hammered VO fenders. I'd like to use them again but they don't make them wide enough for the Col de la Vie tires I'm starting with. Anybody have any suggestions? Als

With friction shifters you can run just about anything. For indexed shifting you need to be a bit matchy. The deraillers do not really matter so much. The only issue is that an eight speed chain might be too wide for something like a 10 or 11 speed derailler. As far as shifting all of them basi
