David, I had some VO Zepplin fenders and Hetres on my 56cm AHH for a short time. The clearance was too tight for my taste, and I removed the fenders. I enjoy the tires so much and my need for fenders is rather limited. I think others have found a way to make fenders work to their satisfaction in your scenario.
