I've actually had both - a Sam 51 and a Roadini 50. I can share my very personal experiences. Both were great in different capacities. On my Sam, I rode with both 48mm and 43mm tires. The 43mm tires I thought were the sweet spot for that bike (for me). Not to say I didn't like the handling with

Nice work, Jake! My vague recollection is Nexave used a 7-speed shifter/freewheel, I'd be surprised if the pull-ratio is different for your 9-speed bar-end. My self-taught and definitely wrong way to set the indexing is get the pulleys (in index) directly under a middle cog and start shifting.

Very nice. I’m not familiar with that model rear derailleur. It may have a different pull ratio than the 9 speed road shifters.
