Bruce,
The bike looks fantastic! The wider Kojaks and Noodles just look right to

Nice-looking bike. Really nice. And I love the colour scheme. Have you ridden
moustache bars? If you have, how do the 2 bars compare? I love the M-bars and

I always carry a big Western bandananananana in my jersey or rear pant's

Pretty good. Just a matter of time before they get some Rivendell specific
bananas. I smell limited Rivendell printed bananas from various of drawing
sources from the crew members.

Roadeo is spec'ed for maxing out standard long-reach brakes (47-57mm) with
a full ~57mm of reach. A number of manufacturers make brakes of this reach
(Shimano, Tektro, Dia-Compe, VO, Paul, etc.), and pretty much with any of
these brakes you're going to be able to get a full 28mm tire and fender
the CdlV is 670mm dia and the JB is 700mm almost exactly for both, so
I would estimate the drop at 15 - 20 mm with a load on the tire,
unfortunately I was in a hurry to get the wife bike done and the brake
pads on the Roadeo rubbed so I just threw the wheels on to see how
they fit but no test ride.
In my humble opinion, a Roadeo would be an absolutely lousy 650B
conversion candidate. There is WAY too much BB drop on a Roadeo to
even consider 650B. A Hilsen/Saluki which is a low BB 650B bike only
has 67mm of drop. A Roadeo has 75mm of drop (or more, depending on
size). Your cranks and BB w
Thanks for all the replies about mid-sized Rodeo weight. It seems that a

nice light 32 spoke wheels and a Flite (no gd Brookses) I could build up a

Hi Patrick,
i think you should buy one, yes. ;-)
My 57 Roadeo will be built up this week! i've decided just to swap

Great looking bike and like all RIvendells I have a desire to own one
but this is hands down the cheesiest name they have ever used. I
always liked that their names were well thought out and more dignified
sounding. This one is kinda goofball.

Nice looking bike. 700 x 28 tires with fenders sounds just about right
for a bike like this.
