Just a guess, but maybe the bolt is stripped, or just really dry? I know when my seat post was slipping down, I removed the bolt and was surprised to find a few threads had been stripped and it was really dry. I replaced the bolt, applied a bit of Phil grease and was able to tighten the bolt qu

Reid, Really hard to diagnose without actually putting a hand on it, but...how long is the wrench? If it's a small (2" long) wrench, it likely isn't long enough to provide the torque you need to really tighten the post. The wrenches we use in the shop are 4-5" long. Depending on how old
