By the way, I have over 5000 miles on mine and they still look good. I have shellaced them a time or two. It only takes a second and it keeps them clean. On Tuesday, December 25, 2012 9:41:44 AM UTC-5, pam wrote: > > I have cork and twine. Love it. > > > On Sunday, December 23, 2012 8:55:17

My daughters are in bed after a long Christmas day. Now I can reply. I have Riv cork on three bikes, a Hunqapillar, and two Bridgestone MB3s. The Hunqa has standard cork as does my wife's MB3. My MB3 has BES, and twined notched cork. Like you I shellac the cork, I have learned to not lightly disreg

Cork grips with bar end shifters on the Hillborne and cork with thumbies on the new (to me) Atlantis. The bar end grips have the groove for the shifter cable and twine wrap holding the cable to the grips. The twine is the only thing I shellac - the cork cleans easily. Tony On Dec 23, 5:55 pm, Mik

I have cork w/ bar ends on a 'bars and cloth tape on some Bosco's. Both shellac'ed which helps tremendously with the dirt and water. I tried ergots, which w/ the sweep seemed to work better inverted with the extra part faced inward. They were fine, but not necessary. The shellac'ed cork does get

Plus 1 on the Brooks Plump/Fat grips. I have them on my S1 with Dove bars, and they are the comfiest feeling thing I've had under my hands yet. I have tried the Riv-Cork and the Ergon but much prefer the Brooks. Much more expensive but if the price isn't too much a consideration … On Sunday, De
