Thanks for the photos. I hadn't known you were cantilevered. Great
bike BTW. What has Hiroshi had to say about the fenders? I have to
be careful not to bring my credit cards with me when I go to his
shop. Very nice frames.

This bike has canti brakes and a bottom threaded seat stay bridge, you
can kind of see it in the last picture in this set:

Since the crack is still quite small I have been thinking along the

When Jonnycycles did a rebuild for one of my bikes, he reinforced the

immediate stop in the

the same bridge?
I've had good results using rubber washers on both sides of the fender
with an additional metal washer on the inside of the fend

One tricky thing with installing metal fenders is getting them where
you want them without putting stress on the fe
I had a front Honjo bust where it bolts in under the fender. This
happened off road. I understand some people use an L bracket to avoid
this.
The Honjos on my city bike kept getting bent out of shape. Presumably
from knucklehead fellow bikers at bike stands.
I decided to go with Berthouds and
I need to correct myself about the first fender. I found the part
down in the basement and it broke in exactly the same place this one
did - right at the brake bridge.
