Tom, I've got Campagnolo setups on my Rambouillet and my Ritchey racing
bike, and like it, but it's not all that Riv-ish.
The best reason to use Campy (my opinion only) is to use Ergolevers, if you
really want integrated levers. I like the 9-speed stuff a lot and have
adapted 10-speed levers t

Looking for a Sackville TrunkSack small in good or better condition,
not particular about color.
I have a choice of Ostrich boxy front bags to trade: one original
version that was mounted on a couple of bikes for testing and removed;
one newer version never mounted.

We stopped by Velocity Coop in Alexandria, Va. and saw two 90s Rivs
for sale, $1,200 built. Call them for more info. Too small for us,
both were about 55 cm seat and top tubes c-c. Plus Paramounts (one
fully chromed) and an 80s Serotta.

This is such a good discussion, because it points out that Grant P. is
looking out for his customers. If someone asked me, which builder
would you rather have -- Waterford or Toyo? -- I'd say, sure. It's
nice that Waterford is U.S.-based, but I look at it as supporting
Rivendell first, and I'll let
Oh, and the chainstay bridge was drilled and tapped to mount a fender.
The clearance between the stays is quite narrow, however, and I can't
see squeezing a fender in there -- currently I have a tab extending
from the fender to the bridge.

Us too. I called Rivendell when Grant first mentioned a tandem a
couple years ago in a reader, and tried to put down a deposit, but
they declined. We're ready anytime, Grant.
I have a Toyo-built Ritchey Logic road frameset that I bought new in
1995. After owning a couple of Rivendell production bi
No argument. We love the performance, but they have an industrial
look. Still hope Grant is willing to make a tandem someday -- maybe he
would contract with an existing custom builder to make one to his
specs.

Jumping in here -- front & rear disk brakes open up 650b options
without having to buy a custom. We have an '05 Cannondale MTB disk
tandem that we used with 700x28s for awhile before going back to
559/26" wheels for fatter tires. When I get the motivation, the next
wheelset will be 650b. Until the

I like the Flyer a lot for certain bikes. If the bike already has a
