This is all great stuff and fun reading. Am I missing something or is the
Bleriot being overlooked? I think it preceded the Saluki into the 650B
realm.

This is very good information as I also have a Bleriot. I'm curious as to

I was in Harris yesterday and it has been moved from 5:00 - 6:00 to
6:00 - 7:00. Publisher apparently thought 5:00 was too early for
working folks to make it.

Elton - good job pulling this together. I've already enjoyed the book
but will be there to meet GP and buy a signed copy! Probably can't
make the ride but may bring my Bleriot just for the occasion. Maybe
we can talk Grant into coming back for the D2R2!!

I'm also using the Harris/Nitto randonneur bars and like them. Mine
are the 42 and they suit my needs in daily traffic. I'm fortunate
that Harris is my LBS!
Good luck,

I have the very same Bleriot (including same size) and love it. The
650B's are great and I've discovered a surprising number of great
tires out there. The one thing that I would have liked is canti

I'm looking for any recommendations for a "Riv-style" rear rack trunk
bag. I have a Velo Orange Campaign bag on the front of my Bleriot and
am looking for the same theme - black canvas wih tan leather trim. So
far, I've looked at the Berthoud models and the Zimbale Rack Top bag.

I rode the D2 last year on my Bleriot (650B) and had the CDLV's
mounted. They were fine but I should add the conditions were dry and
generally good. Have since switched to Pari-Motos and much prefer
them for the road - not sure about mud. My sense is they would be
fine for the D2 but I can't mak

Received my current issue of Bicycle Quarterly today and, by
coincidence, they had a very favorable review of the Keen Austin

If my bones come together in time, I'll be there. If you want to come
home with a great story to tell, this is it!

I've been using a Garmin 650 for the past 2 years. Good readout and
excellent mapping/GPS capabilities. Also uploadable to their training

I watched with interest the recent thread regarding Thumbies and

I had some front rack braze-ons added to my Bleriot by a local
framebuilder (Peter Mooney) but he couldn't match the paint.
Rivendell was actually not helpful and could not provide a paint
number that could be given to a local painter. When I get some time,
